Learn More About Hoffer Woodworking

I’ve been working with wood for as long as I can remember. It started when I was a kid, spending time in the garage shop of a family friend named George. My mom would drop me off, and George would teach me by making things—hands-on, simple, and honest. That’s where I fell in love with the process of working with my hands.

At Hoffer Woodworking, everything we build is made to last for generations. I focus on using locally sourced hardwoods and a blend of traditional joinery with modern techniques to let the natural beauty of the wood shine through. It’s the hands-on building process I love most—seeing each piece come to life and seeing the happiness on my customers' faces when they receive their piece.

Our furniture is made for people who value quality over quantity. Homeowners and businesses who are thoughtful about the pieces they bring into their homes and businesses. People who want something meaningful, something built to gather around for years to come.

The style of my work leans on clean lines, with inspiration from mid-century modern and Scandinavian design. What sets us apart is simple: our attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality. Every piece is made by hand, one at a time, right here in Pennsylvania.

In 2025, I started milling logs myself in partnership with local tree services—bringing a second life to yard trees that would otherwise be lost. These logs will start finding their way into furniture in the next few years, and I couldn’t be more excited to keep things local and sustainable.

“Built with integrity. Built for generations.” isn’t just a tagline. It’s how I run the business, how I approach each build, and why I use time-tested joinery methods that make sure your grandkids will still be using the furniture we make one day.

If you’re on the fence about custom furniture, I’d simply say this: the quality is unmatched, and every piece is made to your style preferences and space. It’s furniture made for you, not for the masses.
