Built with Integrity. Built for Generations. We create made to order pieces that last for generations as statement pieces and places where community can form and gather.

Furniture for your grandchildren to tell stories around, a re-emergence of the value of handmade.

  • Integrity – We operate with strong moral principles developed through a life of hard work and experiences as a former competitive athlete.

  • Honesty – We are honest in all interactions. We do not gouge clients, are upfront with our skill set, product offerings, and timelines. If a potential client is looking for a piece outside our skillset or product offerings, we will recommend you to a fellow local business that can better suit your needs.

  • Credibility – A student of the craft, Richard Hoffer started developing his skills as a woodworker in middle school when his mother would drive him to the next town over to learn from a family friend, George, once a week. This pursuit of growth and mastery of the craft continues through more challenging builds, visiting fellow makers and furniture shops, and reading books on all aspects of woodworking. The furniture is only half of it, Hoffer Woodworking is a business and clients expect that we operate as such. Richard Hoffer has worked in leadership roles at multiple fortune 500 companies and has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis – Olin School of Business, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma.
